Digitization is a modern technique to preserve and extend the life of a manuscripts.

The Sanskrit Encyclopedia Lexicon was stored in the Library and The Grand Son of Swamy Ranganathacharya sponsering the Digitisation of this world's rarest Manuscript.

The Institute has signed an MOU with Noor  Micro Film Center, New Delhi and Islamic Republic of  Iran to complete its project of  digitization of its entire collections. On 30th march, 2007 His Excellency Hussain Ravesh, Council General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in India has inaugurated  the conversation and digitization of the manuscripts in the  collection of the Manuscripts Library and Research Institute. This project will  be complete in two years and digitalize twenty four thousand manuscripts in fifteen  languages. This project also includes the repair, binding. fumigation and preparation of a comprehensive catalogues of the entire collection
